What you’ll do in the class

In the macro photography workshop at the Rostock Botanical Garden, we start with a casual acquaintance. Then it's straight to taking pictures together — not a dry presentation, but practice-oriented! We talk about various exciting topics relating to macro photography and also highlight the technical requirements that are particularly important for this.

At the start, each participant receives a handout that will help you on site and also at home. So that I can answer you, your technology and your questions, there are a maximum of four participants per workshop — so it remains personal and individual.

Questions are always welcome and I will give you constructive feedback during the workshop. We discuss the theory and put it into practice right away. You can also spread out freely from time to time and tackle your own small photo projects. We then discuss these together before continuing as a group.

Depending on the group's wishes, we explore various areas of the Rostock Botanical Garden and discover exciting details in nature, which we photograph together or individually.

Regardless of whether you have a macro lens, telephoto focal length or kit lens. I'll adapt to your equipment.

I am happy to accompany you with my camera and lots of tips.
