Class description

Get your team together and enjoy a fun evening of cooking a Southern Italian meal including your own hand tossed pizza!

 

BENVENUTI IN ITALIA!

Come experience home style rustic Italian food which takes you back to the villages of 

Italy. In this class, Chef Natasha Celmi shares her family recipes from southern Italy

while giving you a little taste of the rest of Italy as well. All the food is made traditional

style from scratch using seasonal fresh produce. Enjoy an evening of slow cooking with 

amore, Italian music and of course, some amazing food.

 

THE MENU 
Hand tossed pizza margherita- each person makes their own pizza
Red pepper pesto & zucchini crostini
Nonna’s broccoli polpette (fritters)
Pesto Genovese
Napoletano baked eggplant stacks
Hand rolled gnocchi alla Sorrentina
Fresh pomomdoro sauce
North Italian baked polenta squares
Mixed mushrooms & red wine sauce

Fennel, pear and rucola salad  
Vanilla pannacotta with seasonal berries coulis.

How does the course work?

Start with an antipasti platter with various crostini, baked eggplant stacks and broccoli pancakes. 

Feel like a real "pizzaoilo" when you prepare pizza puttanesca and pizza bianca Neapolitan style and then eat them hot out of the oven!

Get your hands dirty and roll fresh Sorrento-style gnocchi. Learn my family recipe for the best pomodoro sauce, made from scratch with fresh tomatoes. 

We'll get a taste of the north, with baked polenta in an earthy mushroom and red wine sauce and a seasonal vegetable risotto. 

And finally, this decadent feast is finished off with a vanilla pannacotta and a seasonal berry coulis.

The course can be conducted in English or in German with German recipe sheets.
