What we'll do:
Nitu grew up in Delhi, the heart of India, not only famous for its cultural lineage but also, it's culinary heritage. In India cooking is a part of growing up, I learnt cooking from my grandmother. We used to cook many famous Indian dishes but my favorite has always been chole bhature (chickpeas curry served with rice and fluffy pan cakes).
Chole Bhature is a delicious breakfast as well as lunch or dinner dish generally served with onions, pickle, mint chutney and lassi. Chole Bhature as Breakfast was invented in Delhi Post Partition and Nowadays, it is popular breakfast around North-West India and other parts of the country.
In this 2-hour hands-on class, we will learn how to make this delicious meal, chole (chickpeas curry - Indian style), bhature (fried bread, made of all purpose flour. I'll give you all the step by step instructions.Learn the art of making feather soft bhaturas served with chole or chickpeas cooked in a pool of rustic spices.After all the hard work in the kitchen we will sit together and eat. Masala chai, pickles, chutney, onion salad will also be served along with Choley Bhature.
