About this class
In addition to typographic basics, this course is about the joy of trying out different writing tools and developing your own handwriting. We play with letters, proportions and decorative elements and design cards and fonts depending on the season.
What you’ll do in the class
- We'll start with some typographical basics, terms and warm-up exercises.
- Then we practice various font styles, such as brush lettering and faux calligraphy, do playful experiments with our own handwriting and test different proportions and contrasts.
- Finally, we will design an individual hand lettering layout using the tricks and techniques we have learned.
