What you’ll do in the class

The basic photography course at IGA Park Rostock starts with a relaxed introduction. Then it's straight to the cameras and I'll show you how to take pictures outside of automatic mode.

You will learn how to use shutter speed, aperture and ISO in a targeted manner and understand exposure compensation correctly. I'll show you how to capture quick moments in focus and when a long exposure is worthwhile. From targeted focusing to helpful tips & tricks that make taking pictures even easier for you.

We talk about various exciting topics related to photography, such as taking pictures of everyday moments such as your own children, your animal companion, in the garden or outdoors in general. We highlight the technical requirements that are particularly important for this.

At the start, each participant receives a handout that will help you on site and also at home. So that I can answer you, your technology and your questions, there are a maximum of four participants per workshop — so it remains personal and individual.

Questions are always welcome and I will give you constructive feedback during the workshop. We discuss the theory and put it into practice right away. You can also spread out freely from time to time and tackle your own small photo projects. We then discuss these together before continuing as a group.

Depending on the group's wishes, we explore various areas of IGA Park Rostock and discover landscapes there, down to smaller details that we photograph together or individually.

Regardless of whether you have a wide-angle lens, telephoto focal length or kit lens. I'll adapt to your equipment.

I am happy to accompany you and you with my camera and lots of tips.
