Class description
Street photography is particularly attractive at night due to the colorful light of car headlights, neon signs and street lighting. Berlin never sleeps and we set off to capture moments that show urban life in all its oddity and banality.
Berlin at night: your playground for cinematic street photography
In this photo workshop, you will learn to capture scenes in the city that are as atmospheric as individual images from a movie. Through the interplay of light and shadow, exciting image composition and choosing the right moment, we create unique snapshots of the urban night.
Skilful staging of street scenes and moments allows our pictures to tell small stories: storytelling is a central part of street photography and in this photo course we look at how we can use it to conjure up captivating images from everyday situations.
Berlin at night never stands still and I'll also show you how you can effectively incorporate the movement of passers-by into your photos and what else needs to be considered in street photography in general and at night in particular.
You will learn about the possible uses as well as advantages and disadvantages of color and black and white photography in this genre and I will help you get the most out of your camera in difficult lighting situations, even in difficult lighting situations.
Our topics in the street photography course:
- Introduction to street photography at night
- Find and stage motifs
- People in the picture — but how?
- Tips & tricks for low-light photography in the city
- Black and white or color?
- Image design and structure
- Using perspective and point of view as a means of design
- lots of fresh inspiration for new picture ideas
Our locations in the photo course
This photo course takes place at various photo locations in downtown Berlin, which we will visit both on foot and by public transport (ticket for public transport). Public transport not included).
Depending on the weather and the wishes of participants, these photo spots may vary - because the art of street photography consists, among other things, of capturing scenes of everyday life regardless of location.
How does this activity work?
How does the photo workshop work?
On this photo tour through Berlin Night, the individual care of each individual participant is particularly important to me. You will immediately receive on-site feedback and suggestions for your pictures and answers to (hopefully;)) all of your photo questions.
Due to the small size of the group, I can pick you up exactly where you are right now and there is always time to answer individual questions or even to tinker with a motif together.
Who should definitely take part?
Who is the photo course suitable for?
In this photo workshop, the individual support of each individual participant is very important to me. You'll be picked up right where you are — both on the creative and technical side.
No previous experience is necessary - the photo course is suitable for both beginners and advanced users.
