Discover the fascinating world of figurative painting!
In the acrylic & pastel course in Hohenems, you will learn how to create exciting backgrounds and creatively stage figures. Thanks to the combination of strong acrylic paints and soft pastel crayons, you create expressive works of art with smooth transitions and vivid details.
Whether you're a beginner or an advanced learner, this course gives you the opportunity to expand your artistic skills and find your individual style.
How does this activity work?
The course takes place on two consecutive days, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., including a one-hour lunch break.
Step by step, we will introduce you to the world of acrylic and pastel painting and provide you with individual support in your creative process.
What to expect in the course:
- Step 1: Practice on paper — Before we go to the canvas, we first practice depicting figures on paper. This provides an opportunity to become familiar with the shapes and try out various techniques.
- Step 2: Acrylic background — We start by creating interesting acrylic backgrounds that add depth and dynamism to the image.
- Step 3: Pastel figures — With pastel crayons, we then depict the figures, either reduced or repeated many times, to create exciting contrasts and a harmonious interplay between the techniques.
Who should definitely take part?
The course is aimed at beginners, easy and advanced learners who want to develop their figurative painting in a creative way.
No previous experience in acrylic or pastel painting is required.

Please note:
The material fee of €30.00 per participant is not included in the course price and will be billed separately on the painting day on site against cash payment. Canvases can be purchased directly from the studio at normal retail prices.
Of course, you can also bring your own paints, brushes, materials and canvases.
