About this Tour
Start your perfect trip along the Romantic Road! Starting at 9:00 a.m., the Romantic Road Coach will take you relaxed from Frankfurt am Main via the picturesque Spessart to Renaissance Castle Weikersheim. There you will enjoy a guided tour of the Knights' Hall and stroll through the Baroque garden inspired by Versailles. Then it's on through the idyllic Tauber Valley to Rothenburg ob der Tauber — Germany's most romantic city (3-hour free stay). On the way back, photo stop at the Würzburg Residence (UNESCO World Heritage Site). A trip along Germany's oldest holiday route combines architecture, nature, landscape, cuisine and historical highlights — an unforgettable experience!
Steps of the tour
- 09:00 Departure from Frankfurt am Main Bus Terminal, Stuttgarter Str. 26, bus platform 1 (Flixbus)
- Via Spessart and Würzburg to the Tauber Valley wine region
- Stop in Weikersheim (approx. 30 min.)
- Guided tour of the Knights' Hall of the Renaissance Castle
- Visit to the baroque palace garden in the style of Versailles
- Along the Franconian vineyards with a stop in the wine and European town of Röttingen
- Rothenburg ob der Tauber (3 hours individual stay)
- Plönlein, medieval old town, accessible city wall, medieval crime and torture museum, German Christmas museum, medieval gem
- Opportunity for a lunch break with regional, Franconian specialities
