Class description
Go on a creative journey with our “Canning & Preserving Fabrics” workshop. An afternoon that combines craftsmanship and culinary delights!
What to expect at our workshop in Berlin
We meet at 4 pm at Richardplatz in Berlin, accompanied by a box full of vegetables and fruit as well as textile materials.
Nataliia, my girlfriend and garment maker from Ukraine, guides us through textile conversion, from repairs to my own small projects.
We cook and sew in the afternoon, and you can repair a piece of clothing under professional guidance, maybe even sew a small project. Or you come into the kitchen with me and we can. I am showing a few objects from the Food Culture collection that involve preserving.
At 7 p.m., we sit down together at a large table for a three-course meal, where we enjoy our creations together.
At the end of the day, you go home full and happy with your new, old piece of clothing, three jars of mixed pickles or jams.
Who is canning and preserving fabrics suitable for?
People aged 14 to 94 who are interested in craft and culinary techniques are welcome. That's 80 years of shared knowledge!
Whether you're a DIY enthusiast or simply curious, there's something for everyone here!
