About this class
In this course, we will create both a vessel on the pottery turntable and clay work from hand using the thumb technique in small groups. Turning the potter's wheel is very appealing, as the sound on the rotating wheel requires centering; the work is very harmonious and the design ideas in terms of shapes and sizes have virtually no limits. The velvety texture of the clay is pleasant on the hands and the soft material can be carefully created with our hands during the turning process.
The earth to be designed in our hands is a great experience!
The shape can be concave, convex, cylindrical, large or small.
In parallel, you can work freely, utility ceramics can be created — but free forms, figurative or free forms of imagination can also be created.
A glazing course can be booked later, in which the then fired works are designed in color or transparent, matt or glossy, mono/ or multicolor. They are then fired again in the glaze fire, and you receive/you get a container that can be used in the kitchen!
