About this class
The exclusive champagne tasting “Big versus Small” is a champagne tasting in which large champagne houses and small family businesses compete against each other in a blind comparison. The participants do not know which champagne comes from which house. The aim of tasting is to identify and evaluate the differences between champagnes — in taste, aroma and appearance. Can there really be significant differences depending on the size of the champagne house? We'd like to know!
What is the process for our champagne tastings?
Each tasting starts with a warm welcome and an aperitif, followed by interesting background information on the topic of the tasting.
In order to neutralize the taste of the drinks and intensify the culinary experience, a cheese platter and mineral water are included for you in the tasting. The total duration of the tasting is 120 minutes — 90 minutes are planned for the actual tasting and 30 minutes for the end. If the weather is nice, we will host the tasting on our green terrace with a view of the Spree. If not, our large café is also the perfect atmosphere to enjoy exquisite champagne and expand your expertise.
Overall, the event offers an entertaining and educational opportunity to learn more about a wide variety of champagnes and to deepen your knowledge of champagne tasting.
