About this class
Bead weaving combines creativity, concentration and craftsmanship in a unique way. In my workshop, you will learn in a fun way how to create colorful patterns and small pieces of jewelry/works of art made from pearls. It is not only about manual work, but also about patience, perseverance and the joy of one's own work. The aim is to give you access to traditional handicrafts — with modern materials and age-appropriate instructions. At the end of the workshop, you will take home a piece of jewelry or work of art you have designed yourself — as a very personal souvenir of your creative work.
What you’ll do in the class
The course starts with a short presentation session. I then share my knowledge about glass beads. You assemble your small weaving frame yourself and string it with threads. Before we start weaving, you have the opportunity to draw out a sketch idea on a piece of paper (brought by me). You can also put together your own color combination.
In between, we will of course take a short break, during which we will have coffee and snacks/cake. Then I'll show you the weaving process on the frame and you can imitate these steps. I will be on site as a contact person throughout the entire period and will of course be happy to help at any time. In the end, you go home with your self-designed piece of jewelry or work of art.
