Get creative and decorate! In our gingerbread house workshop, you will learn how to conjure up a dream house for yourself. Perfect as a gift or simply to snack on!

Hello! I'm Chi, the founder of Café Amélie Coffee and Breakfast in Berlin.
Originally from Vietnam, I brought my love for baking and my enthusiasm for creative desserts here. At Café Amélie, I combine my passion for cozy café culture with unique sweet creations — from bento cakes to matcha latte.

What you’ll do in the class
In this gingerbread house workshop, you will become a winter builder!
The gingerbread house slices are already freshly pre-baked so that you can fully concentrate on creative design.
To start, you'll learn how to make royal icing — the perfect edible glue and decorative cast for every gingerbread house. You then fill the icing into piping bags and practice various spraying techniques such as lines, dots, and snow patterns.
Then it's time to decorate the individual parts of the house: walls, roof, doors, windows — everything gets your personal touch. With the icing, we put the pieces together step by step, let the house stabilize and then decorate it even further with sugar pearls, sprinkles and winter details.
In the end, you take home your individual, festive gingerbread house — and of course a great deal of fun and Christmas spirit.
