About this class
In the Advent studio in Cologne, you dive into the world of creative pottery — with exciting combinations of materials. On six dates, you will create your own works of art out of clay — and also use batik, soapstone, mosaic or concrete. This creates individual, decorative unique pieces, perfect as a gift or for Christmas decoration. Thanks to various techniques, every appointment remains special — and on 29.11. (mosaic) can you have your works burned in time for Christmas.

What you’ll do in the class
- Short introduction to the chosen material and its combination with clay (e.g. batik, soapstone, mosaic, concrete)
- Demonstration of techniques and material treatment
- Modelling, sculpting, combining and designing together
- Accompanying guidance and individual assistance
- drying and intermediate steps (e.g. letting it dry)
- Explanation of how burning (possibly external) takes place
- Handover of the finished burnt works (after the last date or after the fire)
