Who I am and what drives me

Hi, I'm Ela — a passionate beekeeper and certified honey sommelier. With my “Trachtgold” apiary in Rösrath, I have set myself the goal of getting honey out of the “just sweet” corner.
For me, honey is as complex and fascinating as good wine. Every flower, every location and every weather year tastes different. When I realized that many people don't even know that honey can taste like menthol, malt, or dark chocolate, my mission became clear: I want to recalibrate your senses. I'm not a fan of dry lectures, but love the experience: Taste, smell and understand what nature actually gives us.

My location: The little blue house

My tastings take place in a very special atmosphere: in the “little blue house” in Rösrath. There is no sterile seminar room here, but a cozy workshop atmosphere in which we can concentrate entirely on enjoyment.
The location is deliberately designed for small, exclusive groups. This creates a private framework in which there is space for questions, exchange and genuine cooperation. Here you can laugh, be amazed and enjoy.

What makes my events special

My honey tastings (tastings) are not about frontal lessons, but about a journey for the senses. We break old beliefs: Is Manuka really a miracle cure? Why does canola crystallize?
What is special is the combination of profound expertise (as a sommelier) and real practice. We test your irritation threshold (sweet, sour, salty, bitter), taste rare types of honey in direct comparison and finally feel how different types of bread change the aromas. You go home with a completely new look — and a pampered taste buds.

Team events and private parties

Are you looking for a company party or a birthday away from bowling alleys and Italians? I also offer my tastings exclusively for groups (from 8 people).
In addition, come directly to your company or living room for an “in-house tasting”. A honey tasting is the perfect team building because it is communicative, awakens the senses and creates a shared experience that people will talk about for a long time to come.
