At TANS, children aged 4 and over, adolescents and adults can enjoy dancing. All employees are university graduates and therefore have not only their dancing knowledge but also a sound knowledge of anatomy and physiology. We attach great importance to students learning to work with, rather than against, their bodies. The aim is also not only to promote the physical aspect of dance training, but also to use one's own body as a tool to communicate and express one's own emotions. This also develops the ability to concentrate and self-confidence.
Holistic training
The joy of dance and movement, combined with body control and discipline, make ballet and modern a holistic and meaningful experience. Ballet and modern stretch and strengthen the entire musculature, which has a positive effect on posture. Mental abilities such as concentration, coordination and creativity, as well as motor skills, are developed with a focus on coordination. The holistic nature of training creates physical and mental wellbeing. Ballet forms the basis for all other dance styles. Since I always attach great importance to responding individually to the individual participants, both children and adolescents as well as adults are welcome and can start lessons at any time.
Dancing with heart and mind
From my own experience, I know how important anatomically correct teaching is. I myself was lucky to always have good teachers in my education. Even during my time on stage, I therefore never suffered from alleged “ballet illnesses.” These are usually based on unbalanced training. My goal is for participants to perceive their own bodies and learn how to use them in a meaningful way. I also support them in finding their personal style and expressing it individually.
