About this class

Everyone talks about pottery all the time and you finally want to try it out? This is your chance! Spin only is a taster course where you can let off steam creatively at your leisure. With more or less help, you can create your work of art on the turntable, which you can take home after completion.

How does this class work

Depending on the level of experience, the basic cylinder technique is first taught. In the next step, a cup, bowl, vase, etc. can be formed from the cylinder.

The works of art must then dry hard as leather (approx. 24 hours). We then trim them and heat them down at 950 degrees. In the last step, the pieces can be glazed by us and then fired again at over 1200 degrees so that they are waterproof and dishwasher-safe.

If you want to trim and/or glaze your pieces yourself, then we recommend the Spin & Trim or the Spin, Trim & Glaze course. Or you can talk to us.

Who is the class suitable for

The course is a taste of the world of ceramics and is aimed at anyone looking for a creative and meditative activity to escape from stressful everyday life for a moment. The course is suitable for all levels - but for experienced artists, we recommend at least a 2-day course to get to know the whole process of making pottery.

Children over 14 years of age can take part in the course unaccompanied. Since making pottery on the disc requires a lot of patience and concentration, we do not recommend pottery for children under the mentioned age. But feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
