About this class
Dive into the fascinating world of pottery! In this 3-hour entry-level course near Münster, you will learn how to shape and design clay with your hands. We start with the basics, deal with hand modelling and explore various techniques for surface design. In a relaxed atmosphere, you can experiment creatively and create your own piece of ceramic.
You can glaze your piece of ceramic directly during the course, as I work with special glazes that can also be used on unfired clay. I will then burn your pottery for you.
What you’ll do in the class
- Introduction to the basics of pottery
- Preparation and modeling of clay
- Design of individual ceramic pieces
- Surface Design & Finishing Techniques
- Experiment with colors and textures
- After the course: firing & glazing service (optional additional appointment for Raku fire)
- Picking up the finished workpiece after the fire
Who is the class suitable for?
The course is ideal for beginners who want to learn how to make pottery. Participants with previous knowledge are also welcome.
Children are welcome and can participate between the ages of 6-14 years. I also offer special courses for children, as well as the opportunity to celebrate children's birthdays in my pottery workshop.
Suitable for 1 to 8 people.

Dieses Add On richtet sich an TeilnehmerInnen, die bereits über Erfahrungen mit Töpfern verfügen, z.B. wenn sie bereits einen Einsteigerkurs bei mir absolviert haben. Im Falle einer Gruppenanmeldung für den Einsteiger Kurs, können sie für sich dieses preisgünstigere Add-on buchen. Beispiel: Eine Gruppenbuchung für 3 Personen für den Einsteigerkurs. 1 Person hat den Einsteigerkurs bereits absolviert, und kann selbstständiger töpfern. Diese kann dann für sich das Add-on “Töpfern für Fortgeschrittene” buchen.
