About this experience

In this physical theatre workshop, you will explore the art of physical expression, improvisation, mask and object theatre, and ensemble work. Through playful exercises, perception training and creative experiments with movement, space and emotions, you develop presence, expressiveness and creativity. The workshop is based on contemporary methods and classical techniques of physical theatre, is flexibly tailored to the group and offers a safe space for trying out, learning and artistic research.

How does this experience take place?

The workshop takes place once a month and is open to beginners as well as experienced performers. It is aimed at anyone who feels comfortable on stage or wants to further develop their physical and artistic expression. Each unit is based on central methods of Physical Theatre and is flexibly adapted to the needs, experiences and interests of the respective group.

The workshop is an artistic format and does not replace psychotherapy.

Who is it suitable for

Suitable for all people who enjoy movement, body work and stage presence — regardless of previous experience. The workshop invites curious, creative personalities to expand their expression and discover new forms of contemporary performance. Open and inclusive for different physical requirements.

What is included?

The theatre workshop is led by Marcella Amatamia, actress, performer and theatre maker with a focus on physical theatre. Her artistic work ranges nationally and internationally between contemporary performance art and various forms of theatre.
