About this class

Tea & yoga: The perfect combination for body, mind and soul

In this unique workshop in Berlin, we combine two age-old traditions: European wild herbology and yin & yang yoga. While the local herbs prepared as tea gently support our organs, the targeted yoga practice has an effect on our meridians and promotes inner balance.

Each workshop session is dedicated to a pair of meridians that have a special effect on the body. Together, we explore which wild herbs grow on our doorstep, learn about their healing effects and prepare soothing teas from them. We then dive into a yoga practice that is specifically tailored to these meridians.

The topics of our workshop dates:
26.04.2025 — Kidney & Bladder (Detoxification & Water Balance)

lecturer

For decades, Anja Mocker has been working on everything that grows and is not cultivated, i.e. weeds or better: wild herbs. Since 2023, she has worked as a freelance lecturer for wild herbs and an expert in urban nature experience and is an expert in over-the-counter medicines (IHK certified).

Robert Gummlich has been practicing yin & yang yoga with Erinbell Fanore (Berlin) since 2014 and completed his training as a yoga teacher (RYT200) in summer 2023.

Both share not only a passion for wild herbs, good food and yoga, but also the rest of their lives and the fun they have with their son.

What you’ll do in the class

Our journey begins with a wild herb excursion to the Menschenskinder community garden in Berlin. Here, under the guidance of Anja Mocker, you will learn how to identify various wild herbs, understand their healing powers and collect them professionally. After the hike, we immediately put what we have learned into practice: We prepare fresh herbal teas and learn how they are used in naturopathy.

After the lunch break, Robert Gummlich will introduce you to the practice of yin & yang yoga. This particular form of yoga combines dynamic, strengthening yang asanas with calm, meditative yin postures that gently affect fascia tissue, joints and meridians. The yoga practice is coordinated in such a way that it specifically supports the organs, which are also positively influenced by wild herbs.

Who is the class suitable for?

The workshop is suitable for anyone interested in wild herbs, tea and yoga — both beginners and advanced users. No previous experience is required.
