About this class
In the “Outside Handbuilding” pottery course in Berlin, you will create individual clay objects in the open air — ideal for beginners. You'll learn the basics of handbuilding and work with natural textures, such as leaves or branches. In a relaxed atmosphere, you can let your creativity run wild, whether bowls, figures or abstract shapes. Handbuilding is a mindful, free experience — perfect for learning new things and slowing down in the process. In case of bad weather, we switch to a cozy indoor location.
What you’ll do in the class
- Welcome & introduction to materials and tools
- Preparation of clay and basic techniques of handbuilding
- Creative design of your clay objects
- Work with natural textures such as leaves or bark

- Information about post-processing & using your works
