About this class
Stencil graffiti combines urban style with a stencil technique that was created in the street art scene. The result is a work of art with individual expression and strong impact.
In about 3 hours, you will create your own stencil graffiti on a 50 × 50 cm canvas on your own easel. There are no long theoretical lectures! Arrive, put on gloves and get creative right away.
While you paint and spray, your course instructor will give you practical advice on topics such as color theory, layering, image effects and design aspects. You'll always get inspiration and creative input when you need it. The goal is that in the end you not only have a great work of art at home, but also be able to tell something about it.
Whether typical Cologne motifs (yes, there is also a goat) or completely freely designed, anything is possible.
The course takes place at the Künstlerhof on Steinstraße 58, 51143 Cologne. You can easily reach us with the S12 or KVB line 7. A large car park is only a four-minute walk away (at the Porzer Hospital). There is a tapas restaurant on the farm — ideal for a leisurely end to the course.
What you’ll do in the class
- Welcome and brief introduction (please be there no earlier than 20 minutes in advance, but no later than when the course starts).
- You get your own easel and canvas
- We spray with water-based acrylic paint that does not smell of varnish.
- We design 3 image layers: background, effects, multicolor main subject
- Practical tips on colors, technology and design while working
- You can take the canvas with you directly
Who is the class suitable for?
The workshop is suitable for people aged 16 and over. After consultation, from 14 years of age.
Stencil graffiti course is ideal for anyone looking for creative leisure activities and would like to try something new. Perfect for beginners without previous experience as well as advanced users who want to test this technique. Couples who want to decorate their new shared apartment will find their place here as well as people who want to make new contacts or who simply want three hours without a computer, office life and brooding.
Graffiti is for everyone! Our course is open and relaxed.
Also ideal for private groups, corporate events, team building or as a special gift related to art, or elegant bachelor parties.
Accessibility: The course can also be taken while sitting down when you can no longer stand. Access to the studio is via a gravel path; a 10 cm step must be overcome. Unfortunately, there are no “wheelchair accessible” toilets in the courtyard.

Die Machbarkeit und Design besprechen wir vorher per Mail. Die Schablone muss nur 1x dazu gebucht werden. Nach dem Kurs könnt ihr die Schablone mitnehmen oder sie wird vernichtet (sie bekommt kein anderer nach euch).
Für geschlossene Gruppen: Getränkepaket für alkoholische Getränke. Jeder/r Teilnehmer/in bekommt auf Wunsch einen Drink vorher, einen Währenddessen und einen nach dem Workshop. Es gibt 2 Sorten Bier (Kölsch und Pils oder Helles), Wein und Spritz-Getränke. Im Winter auch Punsch und Glühwein. Änderungen vorbehalten. Bei besonderen Wünschen, schreibt mir einfach.
