Self-guided city game / scavenger hunt in Halle

You will first be introduced to the history of the salz production in Halle: 1693 in Halle (Saale): the Elector wants to optimize the profits from the city's flourishing salt trade. Cheaper coal from the region is now to be used as fuel, but it turns the salt black and bitter. People prefer to buy the better salt from Lüneburg. This could mean the end of the salt works in Halle! Salt master Johann Bötticher sets out to revolutionize the boiling technique. Will he manage to develop an innovative alternative for salt production with your help?

Work in a team (1-6 people per group) to solve the case. Are there more than 6 of you? Then we recommend splitting up into several small groups, otherwise experience has shown that not everyone is well integrated into the game. You can also test which group is the fastest! 

Use our city map to puzzle your way from station to station along the history trail. Solve the puzzles at the most beautiful sights in Halle and at important points and find out more about the salt production in Halle. It is part of the game to guess the individual stations of the city game. They are therefore not listed here. You have to look for clues at the stations to solve the puzzles. In this game, the focus is on the story and the puzzles, not on details about the historical history of the sights and the city.

Move at your own pace and take a break whenever you want. The duration is around 2 to 3 hours. The end is in near the old town of Halle near the Saline - the saltworks museum.
