This picturesque route takes you through untouched nature, past idyllic shores and offers two stops in rustic beer gardens. The trip ends at the Stausacker cable ferry, which takes you directly to the famous Weltenburg Abbey. Perfect for nature lovers, connoisseurs and anyone who wants to spend a special day on the water.

What you’ll do in the class
- Starting point: Donaulände Vohburg (parking spaces & free campground for boat hikers)
- Travel time: approx. 3 to 4 hours in total
- First stop: beer garden on the cable ferry in Eining (after approx. 2 hours)
- Continue to the Stausacker exit point (approx. 1 hour)
- Optional: Stop off at “Gasthof Steinbeck” or take the cable ferry to Weltenburg Abbey
- Important note: The cable ferry runs until 17:00, on Saturdays & Sundays until 19:00. The tours cannot take place in the event of heavy or continuous rain and floods!
- Nature protection regulation: Continuation through the Danube breakthrough to Kelheim is not allowed
