Why is quick-wit so important for our self-esteem?
A poisonous arrow at our weak points, from a person we would never have expected it, a biting comment, a mocking remark, a joke at our expense in the open — criticism has many faces and often leaves us speechless.
But it is precisely this speechlessness that also makes us helpless - a victim - and causes criticism and devaluations to reverberate within ourselves for a long time to come.
Verbal attacks and devaluations by others dig into our self-confidence. Because our self-image stores every single time that we did not fight back, that our limits were ignored, that we did not find the right way to stand up for ourselves at the decisive moment and clearly signal: I won't let myself do THAT. As a psychologist and psychotherapist, I consider quick-wit to be one of the most important skills for strengthening our self-esteem, as this ability is central to no longer allowing us to be treated aggressively.

In my 3 1/2 hour quick-wit training, you'll learn how to:
- React confidently and relaxed to criticism
- actively and confidently counters verbal attacks
- Stay calm in critical conversation situations and consistently pursue your goals
- Be able to use your communication for yourself to become more and more self-confident
What you’ll do in the class
Feel-good atmosphere:
The course takes place in small groups of up to six participants. I give my courses on a small, personal basis so that I can optimally support the needs of all participants and that we can work together in a trusting atmosphere.
Step by step to your new communication skills:
I make sure that you can follow the content well throughout the course, that you enjoy it and that you can continue to implement everything you learn for yourself after the course. You will receive detailed instructions for this at the end of the course.
In quick-wit training, you will learn how to face verbal attacks anew on three levels:
1. The mental level
In the first part of the training, you will learn how your inner attitude to criticism and verbal attacks influences your ability to react and how to realign your attitude to face criticism from a position of strength rather than weakness.
2. The physical level
In the second part of the training, I'll show you how your body can help you react quickly. You learn how to connect with your physical strength and the ability to actively act and defend yourself instead of falling into rigidity.
3. The communicative level
In the third part of the training, you will learn the most demanding quick-wit techniques with which you can continue communication when you are verbally attacked and steer back to the person who attacks you.
You will also learn how to radiate a relaxed emotional attitude through your communication so that you no longer take on a “defensive position” that often results in you being attacked again and again because the aggressor realizes that he can torment you.
I will also explain to you how you can continuously practice and train the new skills so that you benefit from the training in the long term and become more and more communicative.
Who is the class suitable for?
The course is suitable for all women aged 18 and over who want more self-confidence in dealing with verbal attacks and devaluations.
