What is included in the class?
All rums tasted are included in Rum Tasting. We will also expertly guide you through the evening and explain the origin, raw materials, production, maturation and aroma of the individual rums.
It also includes tap water throughout the tasting, as well as bread and candied olives to neutralize between samples.
You will receive a guided tasting session in a relaxed bar atmosphere, professional input, space for questions and a delightful evening in the PinTa cocktail bar.

What you’ll do in the class
At the rum tasting in the PinTa cocktail bar, you arrive relaxed, take a seat and are accompanied by our team through the evening. At the beginning, we will briefly explain what is important when tasting rum: nose, palate, texture, sweetness, spice, length and balance.
We will then try several selected rums together.
We talk about raw materials such as molasses and sugar cane juice, different production methods, barrel aging, countries of origin and typical styles. Depending on the date, the focus may vary, for example Caribbean, Spanish style, English style, French style, agricole, aged rum or a variety of modern rums.
The tasting is deliberately kept casual. It is not about dry theory, but about enjoyment, exchange and a better understanding of rum. You can ask questions, compare and get to know your own taste better.
During the tasting, water, bread and candied olives are ready to neutralize.
In the end, you'll go home with new impressions and know better which rum styles suit you.
