About this Tour
Discover Potsdam, often called the German Versailles. Once neglected, its Gardens and Prussian Palaces have been beautifully restored. Explore the former residence of the Hohenzollern dynasty - Prussian Kings and later German Kaisers.
The tour's highlight is the unique Sanssouci Palace, a personal project of Frederick the Great, Prussia's most eccentric king. We'll delve into the fascinating creations of this intriguing ruler at Sanssouci.
You'll hear entertaining stories about Frederick (affectionately known as Fritz) and other famous Hohenzollern royals, whose descendants still live today.
Our journey includes Potsdam's historic Old Market Square, the original Brandenburg Gate, and the Palace of the Potsdam Conference. We'll explore these sites with a mix of history and humor.
This 4-hour walking tour covers significant ground, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
