What is the process?

In the painting course for hand lettering and watercolor in Berlin, you will learn how to decorate your letterings with blending, watercolor elements, setting highlights in letters (including hatching) and shading. We look at various blending techniques to create great gradients — this creates a real WOW effect of your lettering.

• At the beginning of the course, you will get another introduction to hand lettering and watercolor painting
• Together, with your own chosen saying, we will try out and apply the various blending techniques, shading techniques and decorations step by step in the workshop
• At the end of the course, you will take home your own Watercolor lettering

Who is the painting course suitable for?

You do not necessarily need any previous knowledge for the Handlettering Watercolor course. Nevertheless, I would recommend that you know the basics of hand lettering; you should have done lettering with a brush pen before. You can also take part in my hand lettering beginner workshop beforehand, then you will be well prepared. 

What is included?

In the workshop, you will have all the necessary materials and utensils at your disposal:

• Brushpens
• watercolor paints
• water tank brush
