Tufting for beginners: Your first rug
Let's dive into the world of tufting together! In my 3.5 to 4-hour workshop, I will show you step by step how to create your own individual 45x45cm rug.
I provide you with all materials, from colorful wool to professional tufting guns. No previous experience is necessary — I will patiently guide you through the entire process.
Just send me your desired sketch or favorite motif one week before the workshop so that I can prepare everything. Whether abstract or figurative, anything is possible.
During the workshop, we create a relaxed atmosphere with coffee, water and small snacks. In the end, you will have your very own handmade rug in your hands.

Your personal tufting workshop — step by step
Duration: approx. 3.5 hours
Your contribution:
- Your design: Please send me your desired template or a detailed description of your desired design no later than one week before the workshop.
What we are preparing for you:
- All materials: We provide you with everything you need for your rug: various colors of high-quality wool, a professional tufting gun, adhesive for the back and tools for trimming.
- Your workplace: Your individual workplace is already prepared for you.
This is how the workshop works:
- Brainstorming: Together, we will discuss your motive and check whether it can be implemented within the given time.
- Let's go: After a brief introduction to the technique of tufting, you can immediately start creating your own work of art.
- Your creation: With the tufting gun, you can conjure up your desired patterns and structures in the fabric.
- Stabilization: We attach the back of your rug together so that it keeps its shape.
- The final touch: Finally, we trim the lint and cut the rug to the desired size.
Meals:
Coffee, tea and small snacks are available throughout the workshop so that you can work in a relaxed and concentrated manner.
Your result:
At the end of the workshop, you will have your very own handmade rug in your hands — a unique piece that you can proudly present.
Who is the class suitable for?
No previous experience required. The course is structured in such a way that beginners as well as experienced tufters get their money's worth.

In the tufting course, participants learn the basics of tufting and create their own carpet in a cozy atmosphere. In small groups, everyone receives individual support, which makes the course special. In the end, everyone takes home a unique, homemade piece.
