About this class
Hidden between impressive industrial monuments is Martin's wild herb garden — a place full of life and diversity. In a cozy corner, the fire in the ring flickers, while on a blooming meadow, a massive wooden table invites you to enjoy together.
Martin will guide you through the world of wild herbs and show you how to distinguish edible plants from inedible plants. You will discover their healing properties and deepen your knowledge in a thematically appropriate workshop.
The focus of our events varies depending on the season and is based on what nature has to offer right now.
- From March to May, the focus is on wild herbs — we discover the first edible plants and learn how to use them
- From May to September, everything revolves around wild fruits, berries and their various uses
- Starting in September, we will focus on mushrooms and dive into the fascinating world of wild and meadow mushrooms
Each season brings new flavors and exciting discoveries!
For lunch, a three-course menu awaits you, prepared directly over an open fire. The dishes take up what you have learned and allow you to rediscover flavors that have almost been forgotten.
In our location in the heart of urban nature, Martin's Garden, we dedicate ourselves to workshops that combine traditional knowledge with modern perspectives. Our focus is on rediscovering original practices and promoting a life in harmony with nature.
Wild plants are cultivated in Martin's garden, and a rare variety of species thrives there. Promoting medicinal plants is particularly important to him. Our events are all about collecting wild food, which we then process. When purchasing ingredients, we focus on regionality and deliberately refrain from using products that are not grown or bred here.
We are a dedicated, young team that gives you a break from everyday life — out into the garden to explore the world of wild and medicinal plants together. In our workshops, we share our knowledge, teach valuable processing techniques and offer space for individual questions and interests, always in small groups.
The heart of our event is the fire, which becomes a functional fireplace in our fire ring. Our food tells stories of the flavors of the seasons, origin, mindfulness and simplicity. It creates a feeling of warmth and security and offers the opportunity to experience, share and create something new together — it also sets thoughts in motion.
