About this experience
In the course with ink, paper and brush, Shaoting Chi gives you an insight into traditional Chinese painting and the art of writing, calligraphy. The offer is suitable for beginners and interested people with previous knowledge. Dive in with us and learn more about the philosophy!
How does this experience take place?
Chinese ink painting is not just about illustration or reproduction. The inner thoughts, wishes and hopes of the painters are reflected in the paintings. In this way, purely visually perceptible aspects merge with personal inner feelings. Classic and popular motifs here include flowers, birds, animals and landscapes. Through illustrative presentations and professional instructions, you will be familiarized with the necessary utensils, basic strokes and classic motifs.
The series is expanded with my first own attempts in calligraphy, i.e. in the Chinese art of writing. Calligraphy gives the Chinese language a visually rich aesthetic. Try it out and get to know the first Chinese characters along the way.
