About this experience

Experience a special encounter with our llamas on an idyllic pasture in Biederbach near Freiburg.

In this decelerating animal experience, you will learn the body language of llamas, observe their behavior and get an insight into playful clicker training. Without stroking, but very close — a mindfulness experience for young and old, also ideal as a family or team event!

How does this experience take place?

PASTURE VISIT: When you first contact the five llama whales, you learn the basics: Llamas are curious, intelligent and alert. As distancing and fleeing animals, they don't like touching or petting.

You learn to closely observe the behavior of llamas and the flock and to understand how they communicate with each other.

Some llamas show off their skills and games that they've learned through clicker training — such as Frisbee Targeting, Shanti ringing, hand touching, and more.

Depending on the season, you can feed the llamas with hazelnut or pine branches.

Take time to notice the soft, calming radiance of llamas and relax in them. Enjoy being close to the gentle animals around you without touching them.

Optional: If you are interested, you can enjoy your own picnic in a separate part of the pasture. The llamas then graze right next door.

Optional: If interested, the Maine Coon cats and cats can be visited in the adjacent garden.

In the event of heavy continuous rain, storms, extreme heat or severe frost, the time of day will be changed in consultation with you, if possible, or we will encounter the llamas in the protective stable.

Who is it suitable for

The llama pasture visit is suitable for all ages, including children, seniors and people with disabilities or from rehab. No previous experience is required, but a willingness to learn new things and to take into account the special needs of llamas.

Children can participate if they are able to keep quiet around the llamas, stand still while watching and keep their hands down - no stroking llamas please!

Only registered people are allowed to attend the activity, i.e. no other accompanying persons and no dogs.
