About this class

Art Journaling Workshop in Berlin: The Wild Page is a 2.5-hour Creative Pause — a Sunday session of expressive, mixed-media art journalling and creative renewal.

Led by Harriet Norwood Poole, Art Educator & Creative Life Coach, the session blends guided prompts and simple techniques to help you explore the page with confidence and curiosity.

An analogue reset before the week begins again.
Paper under your fingertips. Inky joy. Colour spreading slowly, in its own time.

No experience needed — just an openness to experiment and hands ready for paint, paper and a bit of mess.

What you’ll do in the class

We begin with rhythmic mark-making — short doodle meditations that ease you into flow and gently settle the mind. An easy way into the page.

Then we build in layers. Paint creates a starting point. Collage shifts direction. Lines and words surface, disappear, and return. Pages may be folded, cut into, reworked — so the surface keeps moving.

The process is responsive rather than planned. Let go of outcome and follow what sparks interest. Unexpected turns often open something new.

You may find yourself journalling in a more layered, intuitive, alive way. It invites you to approach the page differently, wherever you are in your journalling practice.

Absorbed in colour and texture, you shift from skimming to noticing, following what draws you in and letting play lead.

Creative rest in action. Fully hands-on. No pressure to achieve — just space to make.
