In this anatomy workshop for young people, we focus on studying the skull to enable you, as an artist, to draw portraits. The course is specifically tailored to the needs and abilities of young people and provides a solid basis for drawing realistic portraits.
How does this activity work?
- Introduction to the skull: Getting to know different bones, understanding shapes and structures
- Skull view: draw skulls from different angles, capture proportions
- Skull parts: Identify different parts of the skull and draw them in detail
- Eye sockets: study the anatomy of the eye sockets, practice drawing eyes
- Nasal cavity: explore the nasal cavity, realistically represent the nose and nostrils
- Oral cavity: deepen understanding of the oral cavity, draw lips and teeth
- Ears: examine the anatomy of the ears, draw in different positions
- Skull symmetry: Understanding and drawing the symmetry of the skull
- Hairline: Draw different types of hairstyles
- Portrait drawing: Apply learned knowledge to draw realistic portraits
Who should definitely take part?
The workshop is suitable for young people aged 11 and over who are interested in drawing and anatomy. Previous drawing experience is an advantage, but not absolutely necessary.
