Sewing recreation area

Hi, I'm Julia, 41 years old, married and the proud mother of two wonderful children who are almost 11 and almost 13 years old. I live in a small, charming town on the Dutch border on the Lower Rhine.

I'm originally from the Netherlands, where I studied multimedia design as well as art & technology. After a few years working in film and television, I realized during my pregnancy that this job was difficult to reconcile with family life.

In 2010, I had the opportunity to work for a fashion show. It was there that I discovered how easy it is to change clothes without a sewing machine. That inspired me so much that I bought my first Burda magazine. I thought to myself: “It doesn't look that difficult, I'm sure you can too! It's just a few seams. “I wanted a sewing machine for Christmas, and since then my passion for sewing has never let go of me.

My love for sewing and design came together wonderfully. In addition to sewing, I also create patterns, which gives me a lot of pleasure.

In 2023, I opened my sewing recreation area after giving sewing courses for years. I now offer creative workshops for young and old, where I can share my enthusiasm for sewing and creativity with others.
