ceramic object art

... Working with the elements is the basis for creative work...

This sentence has been with me for many years in my workshop, in child and youth work, in adult education and at workshops.

Natural clay deposits are millions of years old.

Dug wet out of the ground, dried in air, fired in fire, clay changes shape at every stage.

Earth, water, fire, air — discover the original again and again with me!

I began my professional life with a technical education in pharmacy, turned to ceramic art a few years later and received training in it at home and abroad. All the material needed for this comes from our earth. rock powders, minerals, paint oxides and more. The soft clay mass is freely rotated by me on the potter's wheel — into unique vessels — or carefully assembled by hand into various objects. After the first rough firing, the ceramic is decorated with engobes, dyes, oxides and glazes developed in-house, and finished with stoneware or raku firing. The ceramics are unique artistic pieces — each object is unique.

I am still working as a ceramic artist in my own studio, as well as leading seminars and workshops in various educational institutions and art schools.
