Surrounded by lots of nature and fresh alpine air, ours can graze from March to November and enjoy the lush greenery princely. The result is delicious and healthy milk that provides the ideal basis for our high-quality and ours. The production, maturation and refinement of our cheese specialties take place directly on our farm — of course 100% organic and without any additives.
Niki is not only the thinker of our company, but also a farmer, cheese maker and certified cheese sommelier. He was one of the first in the Salzburg region to start breeding the special Jersey cattle around 20 years ago and has been creating top quality products ever since. As an experienced cheese expert, he also advises (prospective) farmers on organic livestock farming on specialist tours.
In addition to family and household as a special teacher and specialist in animal-assisted education, Maria runs the “School on the Farm” courses in her “Kuhlen Schule”. As an enthusiastic dairy farmer, former dairymaker and herbal expert, she shares her knowledge of various aspects of cheese and cosmetic production with interested parties.
We are also regularly supported in our “work” by the family (our five children and our in-laws) and great employees. We all share a love of cheese and the motivation to offer our customers the best quality without sacrifices.
