Get to know Afghan Table
We are Petra and Abdul Rahman
Abdul Rahman is from Afghanistan. Hospitality was literally born in his cradle. Petra is a vegan nutritionist and has been organizing vegan cooking courses with a focus on Oriental and Indian cuisine for several years.
With passion and warmth, we want you to experience Afghan cuisine and culture.
Our location:
Our courses take place at Studio ZweiSchwestern in central Kempten. It can accommodate up to 10 people. Other kitchens are available for larger groups (JGA or team event).
Courses & events In our cooking classes,
discover the rich diversity of flavors in Afghanistan — a country on the old Silk Road, where Indian, Persian and Central Asian cuisine merge to create an incomparable cuisine.
Learn how simple ingredients are used to create dishes that have brought people together for generations. From delicious rice dishes to spicy dumplings to real soul food stews.
In Afghanistan, food is almost always prepared together. We would like to pass on this cooking experience in our courses. The highlight is eating together at the long table, when it's called Nosh-e Jan — literally translated: “pleasure for the soul.”
But we share more than just recipes in our courses: Experience warm Afghan hospitality and immerse yourself in the country's culture.
This makes a cooking class a real experience that lets you go home with new impressions, stories and knowledge.
We currently offer 4 different cooking courses, which are also ideal for vegetarians and vegans. Here you'll get to know authentic Afghan flavors and cooking techniques in a relaxed, personal atmosphere.
Cook with us - and take a piece of Afghanistan home with you.
