About this class
Discover the emotional depth and freedom of tango singing! In this special workshop, you will be accompanied by the Argentinean tango singer Anahí Setton and the pianist and composer Javier Tucat Moreno. Together, the basics of tango singing are taught — from understanding the lyrics to the authentic interpretation of the songs. In eight relaxed lessons, spread over two days with extensive breaks, you will learn how to express the essence of tango in your singing. A preparatory meeting takes place about two weeks before the workshop to select the appropriate tango song and prepare you optimally for the weekend.
What you’ll do in the class
- Preparation meeting for song selection approximately two weeks before the start of the course.
- Introduction to the culture and emotions of tango.
- Individual and group exercises to learn the technique.
- Work on an individual tango song with instructions.
- Musical accompaniment by piano.
