Delicate meets wild — in this workshop, we combine the lightness of watercolor paint with the power of structured surfaces.
You start with soft color gradients, floral motifs or abstract shapes on high-quality watercolor paper and then bring structural paste into play. This creates exciting contrasts: flowing transparency meets haptic depth.
The combination of both techniques creates particularly expressive works of art — and you decide whether your work appears calm, playful or powerful.
What you’ll do in the class
— Gentle start: You choose your colors, prepare your watercolor paper and immerse yourself in soft flows, floral elements or abstract shapes.
— Let it flow: With a brush and water, you create transparent layers that bring lightness and movement to the image.
— Discover structure: You will then learn about various structural pastes and how to use them in a targeted manner.
— Create contrasts: You apply textured paste, model reliefs or accents and watch how delicate watercolor meets haptic depth.
— Give the finishing touches: With additional lines, details or color accents, you decide whether your work looks calm, playful or powerful.
— Creative flow: time to experiment, try out and find your own expression.
