Class description
Experience a day full of letters, paper and printing machines at this postcard printing workshop in Berlin Mitte. We will take you into the analog world of letters and printing.
What is the process?
- Our workshops start at 10:00 in the morning with a round of coffee for everyone
- We will then take a tour of our workshop and give you insights into the history of letterpress printing, our working methods and the functions of letterpress
- You can then jump on the letters and implement your ideas
- We are here to help and advise you throughout the day, learn how to use the machines and help you with printing
- Depending on the group constellation, we can have lunch together in the area
- At around 4 p.m., we start cleaning up, because that is also part of the analog printing process
Instead of unlimited font choices and thousands of colors, we find drawers with a clearly defined font that is vivid and on which you can see wear and tear that even lacks characters from time to time. It's hard to believe how liberating that can be.
