GLAZE + FINISHING
At the end of the course, you can choose one of your pieces and choose one of 18 glazes suitable for dishes (including white, blue, gray, pink, green, turquoise + 6 effect glazes with color gradients). If you want to keep several pieces, you pay an additional 10 euros per piece for rework and glaze.
After drying for 7 days, we continue to process your selected pieces so that you can use them in everyday life and glaze them in the colors of your choice.
WHEN WILL MY PIECES BE READY?
After a total of 48 hours in the fire at 900°C of scrub firing and 1240°C of glaze firing, your pieces will be transformed into stoneware. The glazes blend with the clay and create a long-lasting, high-quality work of art handmade by you. The entire process, including rework and drying time, up to the finished piece takes around 3-5 weeks.
Your ceramic pieces are then dishwasher-safe and suitable for everyday use—for the rest of your life! Hopefully, the memories of your ceramics course will last just as long.
We'll let you know in person when your items are ready to be picked up. Are you unable to pick up your works in person? We offer DHL shipping for an additional fee of 5.90 euros.
WE'LL SEE YOU AT THE POTTERY WHEEL!
What is included in the class?
- Trimming, firing and glazing for 2 ceramic pieces
What to bring to the class
All you have to do is bring yourself with short fingernails. It is best to wear clothes that can get dusty. Clay can be removed from fabrics with water without leaving any residue.
Who is the class suitable for?
This course is suitable for all people between 13-120 who are still total beginners at the pottery wheel.
