About this class
Words can work magic — especially when they're beautifully designed. In this workshop, you will learn the art of hand lettering and create personal cards, quotes or small works of art that really come from the heart.
Together, we develop initial basics, practice letter shapes, swings and compositions, and discover creative effects with fineliners, brush pens and metallic ink. You don't need any previous knowledge — just a desire for lettering with personality.
Also ideal as a gift or as a creative me-time in the hustle and bustle of the pre-Christmas period.
What you’ll do in the class
— Arrive & try out: You will receive an introduction to materials, pens and paper — and arrive relaxed in the creative setting.
— Discover the basics: Together we practice initial lettering basics such as lines, printing techniques, letter structure and curves.
— Form letters: Step by step, create alphabet variants and find your own style.
— Creative effects: Try out shades, highlights, and small illustrations with fineliners, brush pens, and metallic ink.
— Design composition: You learn how words become small works of art — with harmonious structure, spacing and decorative elements.
— Implement your own project: You create cards, quotes or mini posters that are personal, loving and unique.
