The tour starts at Oberbaumbrücke and ends at Zickenplatz (or by appointment)
The current Berlin administrative district, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, combines two villages that have a lot in common - in particular the fact that they became the geographical center of the capital after the division of Berlin from peripheral districts ended. However, the two villages also differ significantly.
Kreuzberg! Between hipster stronghold and 'Little Istanbul': A district whose many parallel cultures today make for a lively, truly cosmopolitan, colorful neighborhood in a moment of continuous change.
Start-ups, social hot spots, old Berlin pubs, punks, hipsters, craft beers, doner kebab, hipster burgers, currywurst, falafel, graffiti between art and vandalism, tourism, tradition, owner-managed businesses and gastronomy, nightlife, history, local patriotism, commerce, suppression, gentrification, veganism, sustainability, tradition, detention, the heritage of occupations and castries Payment renovation, 1970s residential barracks, rent mania, Wilhelminian architecture, capitalism, strange hairstyles, strange people and much more: The Kreuzberger mix 💛
I'll show you my beloved home neighborhood as only a local resident can!
