You will first be introduced to the history of Johann Friedrich Böttger in Dresden: 1709 in Dresden: The money-hungry Saxon King, August the Strong, took poor Johann Friedrich Böttger hostage. The Young Man Had Performed a Miracle: He Had Produced a Lump of Gold! Now August wants to force him to make more. But it won't work! However, the dangerous experiments have already yielded an unexpected success: Böttger has discovered the recipe for porcelain! However, the glaze is still missing and August demands money or gold in huge quantities! Only you, Böttger's Laboratory Assistants, can still help the poor young man, because he is still locked up and being blackmailed by August...
Work in a team (1-6 people per group) to solve the case. Are there more than 6 of you? Then we recommend splitting up into several small groups, otherwise experience has shown that not everyone is well integrated into the game. You can also test which group is the fastest!
Use our city map to puzzle your way from station to station along the history trail. Solve the puzzles at the most beautiful sights in Dresden and at important points and find out more about porcelain production in Dresden. It is part of the game to guess the individual stations of the city game. They are therefore not listed here. You have to look for clues at the stations to solve the puzzles. In this game, the focus is on the story and the puzzles, not on details about the historical history of the sights and the city.
Move at your own pace and take a break whenever you want. The duration is around 2 to 3 hours. The end is in the old town centre of Dresden near the Neustädter Markt.
