About this class
Enjoy a few hours of handwork in my living room in Berlin and make your first homemade silver ring (925 sterling).
I'll show you how to make a wonderful silver ring with a smooth, hammered or matte surface from a piece of raw material.
A few examples on my fingers show you your options.
In this workshop, you will work with classic goldsmithing techniques and create a simple, elegant ring with clear shapes by hand. Unfortunately, very complex or organic designs (e.g. from Pinterest or using wax casting) cannot be implemented during the workshop period.

What you’ll do in the class
In about 3 hours, I will guide you step by step to your ring luck. Since I have only set up two workstations in my living room, I am happy to have two to three participants taking turns at the workplaces. Don't worry, while two people are working, the third person won't be bored at all.
After we have found out your ring size for snacks and a cup of tea, the material is cut, worked with a file and then bent into shape.
That's when solder and a soldering iron come into play — at around 1000 degrees Celsius, we solder your ring together.
Now it's time to fine-tune it: With a hammer, we bring the ring into its perfect curve and grind it ever more shiny with the right grinding tool.
Depending on the desired surface, the ring is polished to a high gloss or given a hammer pattern or a matte finish.
Who is the class suitable for?
The course is suitable for anyone who wants to be seduced into the world of goldsmithing for a day. Minimum age: 18 years
Participants aged 16 or 17 may only participate with the written consent of all legal guardians.

I'm Alex — curious, creative and always looking for moments that make you feel good. In silversmithing, hands, heart and head become one. Sound Healing allows you to let go of everything — just be, breathe, feel. For me, both are meditation in different ways — active and silent.
