About this class
Step into the world of pottery! In this 4-session course in Berlin, you will learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing—from preparing clay and shaping pieces on the wheel to trimming and glazing.
With expert guidance, this class is perfect for beginners looking to explore the art of ceramics in a relaxed and creative environment.
Please note that due to limited space in our studio, we can’t store your pieces for a long period of time. Therefore, your ready ceramics have to be picked up within two months after you received the notification from us telling you they are fired, otherwise it will be thrown away. Thank you for your understanding 🙂
What you’ll do in the class
- Day 1: Introduction to pottery, clay preparation & first attempts on the wheel
- Day 2: Throwing bowls and cups
- Day 3: Trimming the dried pieces
- Day 4: Glazing your ceramics
Make sure you can be available for every session.

Hi! I’m Violaine. A French ceramic artist based in Berlin since seven years. I am creating ceramics for local stores, exhibiting in galleries and sharing my passion for ceramic by teaching wheel throwing with a little team by my side.
