Have you ever wanted to create your own ceramics ? In this 2.5-hours pottery class in Berlin, you’ll dive into the world of wheel throwing and learn how to transform raw clay into beautiful, handcrafted pieces. Under the guidance of experienced ceramic artists, you’ll get hands-on practice in centering clay, shaping forms, and creating unique pottery pieces. Whether you're a complete beginner or someone looking to refine your technique, this workshop offers a fun and creative experience.

Working with clay is not only a relaxing and meditative process but also a rewarding artistic activity that allows you to take home a tangible result of your creativity. After the class, we will finish, glaze and fire two of your pieces to make it water resistant and usable. We will notify you when they are ready to pickup at the studio. 

What you’ll do in the class

Introduction to Clay & Wheel Throwing
Learn about the different types of clay, the pottery process, and the basics of using a pottery wheel. Your instructor will demonstrate essential techniques to help you get started.
Before you begin shaping, you'll learn how to properly prepare your clay to ensure it’s smooth and workable. This step is crucial for achieving the best results in your pottery.


Wheel Throwing Techniques

  • Master the art of centering clay on the wheel – one of the most important skills in pottery
  • Learn to pull, shape, and refine your clay to form bowls, cylinders, or other small vessels
  • Experiment with different hand positions and pressure techniques to create even and symmetrical forms


One-on-One Guidance from Experienced Instructors
Whether you're struggling to center your clay or need help refining your shape, your instructor will provide personalized feedback and hands-on assistance to improve your skills.


Finalizing Your Pieces
After shaping your ceramics during the 2.5h wheel class, we will glaze 2 of your pieces transparent and fire them for you to make it water resistant and usable. We will notify you when they are ready go pickup at the studio.

Go further into the process (not included)

After your class, you will have the option to book a 2 hours glazing class to paint yourself all the pieces you will make and experiment with a selection of 40+ colors 🎨

This workshop is perfect for beginners who want to try wheel throwing for the first time. If you are a more advanced potter, this class is also suitable to help you perfect your technique and refresh what you've already start learning. It’s also great for creative minds looking for a hands-on artistic experience.
