About this class
In this workshop in Bizau, you will have the unique opportunity to design and manufacture your own pepper mills from high-quality wood under guidance. You are free to create an individual mill for pepper, salt or chilli or to design several mills according to your personal ideas. You bring your creative ideas to design and surface design so that every mill is not only functional but also an aesthetic highlight in your kitchen.
In the workshop, you will learn various woodworking techniques: from selecting and cutting wood to sanding and careful assembly of the grinder. The course comprehensively introduces you to the craft of making mills and helps you make your vision of an individual pepper mill a reality.
This workshop is aimed at everyone who values wood as a material and enjoys creating a unique, handmade product for everyday use. In the end, you take home a mill that impresses with its quality, functionality and natural aesthetics — a piece of nature that enriches your kitchen.

What you’ll do in the class
- Wood selection and wood cutting
- Planing, grinding, brushing and drilling the mill parts
- Assembly of the grinder and assembly of the mill
- Individual surface design (oiling, flaming or engraving)
- individual laser branding on request, e.g. salt+pepper
Who is the class suitable for?
This workshop is aimed at anyone who is interested in woodworking and would like to design a unique pepper mill according to their own ideas. Woodworking experience is not required.
