What you’ll do in the class

Under the motto “Oil painting made easy”, you will receive an introduction to the basics of oil painting. With a reduced color palette — just 4 colors — Sonja Neumann teaches you the basics of color theory and the special features of oil paint. You learn how to create an expressive work of art with a well-prepared painting palette.

While you are painting yourself, you can watch live how the lecturer paints her pictures. She will help you paint your own picture with tips and explanations.

Finally, you can upload your image to Padlet and it will then be commented on.

Sonja explains very well, she guides everyone - whether pure beginners or already experienced in oil painting - perfectly through the course evening. Sonja is open to all questions, she explains the color wheel (also almost immediately ready to join in) and addresses topics such as saturated/unsaturated colors. I've taken a lot with me again (yes, I'm a repeat offender;) and it's fun in such a relaxed atmosphere anyway. Thank you so much for the lovely evening, Kind regards, Johanna
